At The Wall

Welcome

What our group is about

Our group of Veterans Organizations in and around Hardin County Kentucky was founded for the purpose of establishing memorials and monuments to veterans of our area. Our present project is to purchase a Replica Vietnam Wall. This is something we feel would enhance the communities honor to those that paid the ultimate price for their service to their country and to the people that depended on them for their freedom. It is a memorial to prevent our community and those that visit the memorial from forgetting that the price was high for freedom. Our community lost twenty four of our young men. Let us never forget the cost of freedom and the price that some are willing to pay.

We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit group. Your donations are tax deductable.

Our beliefs

  • We also felt there was a need for a combined group where information about services being offered by an organization could be quickly passed to other veterans groups.
  • A need for a convenient means of communicating between veterans organization was needed. A way of involving and communicating to organizations that would allow information to be spread to veterans of our area quickly and effectively.

Dedication Ceremony

Our Dedication Ceremony was held on April 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. We had the ceremony at the Elizabethtown Nature Park Ring Road. We had a great day with well over 1,000 in attendance. We want to take this oppertunity to thank the American Legion Riders post 113 for linning the road with American Flags, a great job. Thank you to the Elizabethtown Fire Department for their efforts to keep the large American Flag flying over those that attended. Also the City of Elizabethtown did a great job in prepping the park for our dedication and their assistance the day of the dedication. To our guest and speakers thank you for making this a true day of honor and rememberance to those persons represented by the names on the wall, their families,  their friends, and our brothers. For us Vietnam Veterans it was a chance to stand up for what we did so many years ago and remember those we lost and still remember.
