“On September 20, 1965, while crew chief aboard a U.S. Air Force Rescue helicopter, Airman First Class William A. Robinson was shot down and captured in Ha Tinh Province, North Vietnam. Robinson endured seven and half years—2,703 days—in North Vietnamese prison camps. There is no enlisted man in American military history held as a prisoner of war longer than Robinson. We invite you to view Robinson's inspiring, hour-long keynote address to the delegates at VVA's 17th National Convention in Springfield, Illinois.”
